Hey, I’m Layla.

I’m a copywriter who believes the path to great work rarely comes in a straight line. It’s more of a hodgepodge of life, experience, and trials. Simply put, great work is a collage of all the moments that came before.

This spring, I took myself to Europe alone. It was my first day in Porto when I felt a shift. Being wholly alone and present in the world, I felt more myself than ever before. This trip changed a lot for me — it deepened my writing, sharpened my instincts, and taught me that self-reliance is not only a life skill but is also a creative one.

I have lived in Los Angeles, New York, and Philadelphia. I’ve written radio spots, print campaigns, and social copy for brands I love and support. Through it all, I come back to the same thing: craft. No matter where I am, writing is part of me, which is what makes it my craft.

It is a big world out there. Let’s make something worth remembering.
